Position: Accounting Administrator

​

Employment Type: Full-time salaried, with benefits

 

Job Description: The Accounting Administrator assists the VP of Accounting to ensure accounting and finance activities are performed in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other Company practices, policies, and procedures. The Accounting Administrator duties include ensuring accuracy and effectiveness in all our accounting tasks.  A general knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping is required to maintain reliable, back-office operations.  This positions is responsible for overseeing and reconciling financial transactions with the assistance of in-house tools and working with the M&A team to assemble financial metrics for possible opportunities.  The Accounting Administrator should possess solid communication, technology, organizational and analytical skills to ensure timeliness of record keeping.  This position works closely with others in the accounting and operations departments.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain an accurate record of financial transactions

  • Manage day to day AP and AR transactions by entering data into ERP system

  • Verify, allocate, post and reconcile the general ledger as needed

  • Reconcile entries into the accounting system including recording debits and credits

  • Perform monthly closing activities

  • Analyze financial information

  • Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency

  • Support month-end and year-end closeout process

  • Ensure compliance with GAAP principles

  • Maintain documentation/filing of AP and AR transactions

  • General office duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree required.

  • Experience with ComputerEase ERP is a plus, however not required.

  • Previous involvement in M&A process, specifically the Due Diligence phase is required.

  • 4-6 years of mid-level bookkeeping and accounting knowledge.
